I have a base model 04 Chevy Tahoe. 124k miles. Does anyone know if GM has the plugs for the heater mirror option in the door and you can add new heated mirrors and add a fuse or relay in a fuse box or relay panel?

Been thinking about doing this awhile. I do have a J-Box which if needed to program a on/off command in the ECM to on I could do.

Also while we're talking about it other than adding the stepper motor, replacing the display sheet can you add a transmission temp gauge fairly easy to the dash?

Last item is I'm looking for a thread or sticky that someone may have created to switch the fan for the engine over to the newer electric style ones they went to in 06 with ECM control. I'm sure I'll have to run a wire to the ECM for the fan control and probably update the software but that's fine as long as it turns the fan on and off as it should for the cooling system and A/C

My factory 02 heated mirrors were pretty terrible and always were.  I guess depending on the climate they may be of more use.  In all the ice storms I’ve been in they have been useless.

I honestly forgot they were even heated.  They don’t have an on off button either.   I had a 95 Trooper that had power folding mirrors, mirror side lights, and power heat that was accessible by button and it was very nice to have.   So if you can rig it, would be worth it.

for the tranny temp do you get a readable gauge on a scanner app?
