Help with thoughts

Hello all,

I have a new 2018 Chevy 1500 4x4 Crew cab.. I am wanting to exchange the switch panel under the radio, that has the Traction control, Pedal Adjust, Cargo LIght, and Park Assist.. It has 4 switches currently in it.. I want to upgrade to maybe a 6, or 7 switch control panel, and keep everything "Factory Looking", for when i wire up my lights for Fire Dept use.. Would like to know if this is possible? I have some Part Numbers, that could work, just wanted someone to see, if this was available..

 Part Number options..

84347238-7 switch panel

23180130- 6 button

23180135-6 button

23180147 6 Button.

The dealership is making this a little more difficult. Any thoughts??  Thanks in advance..  THis is what it shows is in my truck now. for reference..

I've seen a few threads discussing aux lighting and switch options. Search for that send you should see a few hits. This thread is the one that comes to mind that I'm considering myself...

I wanted to do that too, until I realized how complicated the wiring would get. Those switches control relays. If your truck only came with wiring for 4 switches, that's all the wires it has. You will have to swap the fuse block and add wires just to light up those additional switches. It can definitely be done, but its not as simple as popping in the new switch bank. I'm only a novice DC electrician, so I went a different route to power my back-up lights.
