Recommended Posts

I think i saw on here a while ago, but cant find it, where someone had added a gauge to the blank spot in the overhead console, right over the rear-view mirror?

Any one know where i might find a pic of this??

Thanks!

I installed a voltmeter in my blank space. I removed it from an old Stereo Battery I had. The battery was shot, so I took the Voltmeter out and mounted it in the console. I wired the 2 map lights to the right switch, and wired the voltmeter to the left light switch. The gauge draws currwent from the computer junction area under the hood.

here's a photo.

Hey wreckmster,

Did you paint the overhead console? Do you have a pic of the whole thing? I am thinking of ainting some of my interior pieces storm gray to match my exterior accent color. Did you do it yourself or have it done professionally?

I painted alot of interior accent pieces on the truck. I cleaned them with alcohol a couple times to remove the armor all/dressing, then scuffed them and primed them. Then I primed them again and painted/cleared them with the same paint we painted the truck with.. Here is a link to my interior page so you can see what's painted...

On the console, the carpet part unbolts from the plastic piece so it looks real clean when its painted. No overspray on the carpet part...

Wreckmster:

That looks awesome!

I think I am going to do my overhead console, instrument surround (i really like how you only did the middle part), and my window switch bezels. Mine will be storm gray on gray interior so it will be a little more subtle than yours, but that is kinda what I am shooting for on this truck. That headliner is pretty slick too, very nice truck.
