Quadrasteer to Regular Straight Axle

New member here, I’m looking at buying a 2005 GMC 1500 Ext. Cab with the 5.3 and the Quadrasteer option. It has 199k and the Quadrasteer doesn’t work anymore (big surprise). I was wondering if any of you on the forum have under gone swapping the QS axle for a regular 10 bolt straight axle. Any feedback is appreciated.

I have no info on this but did you look at YouTube? I don’t think it would be hard to do. Is the axle bad?

I’m not sure what’s wrong with it, but I don’t have a need for quadrasteer and I’d like to avoid the issues of having it. I’m thinking of swapping for either a 10 or 14 bolt rear, and parting out the quadrasteer axle on eBay for people who need parts.

Did you ever find any more information on this or try the swap yourself?
