Weird "Clunk" While Turning

Recommended Posts

I will just get into the situation.. Last night I had to break a little harder than normal (no tire screeching stop) while driving around 40-50 mph. I noticed I heard a weird clunk as if something grinded.. Weird, but I didn't think much of it since it was so quiet. Later, I noticed when I turn at a intersection going 15-20 mpg and hit a normal bump it sounds like something is hitting metal on metal or something.. What I think is weird is, it will not do it while I'm driving straight, but only when I am turning and hit some small rivets or bumps in the road. Anyone have a similar issue? I can "feel" it on the floorboard more than I can hear it with radio off and windows up or down. Going to check the ball joints after work and diagnose. I didn't drive it to work this morning just to play it safe.

Sounds like the same symptom people with bad shocks experience.  How many miles are on your rig, and are the original shocks on there?
