I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax that I have owned for a year now.  On 3-4 occasions, I have got in the truck and it won't start, not even a click.  On two occasions, I was able to get it to start after about 5 minutes by using the remote start on the key fob.  Another time I was able to get it to start by going and getting the second key fob.  I mentioned the issue to the dealer and they indicated that unless they can duplicate the issue, they have no way of diagnosing.  Has anyone else had a similar problem?  Seems like it might be some type of open electronic circuit....?

At least with the 1/2tons guys have had similar problems and usually ends up being the negative battery cable. Not sure it would be the same with a Dmax since I’m assuming you have dual batts?

Stan,

Sorry about your 2500HD issues but this is the 1500 half ton truck section.

You will have better luck posting this in the 2500HD section.  Good luck!

Aside from that, you have a newer truck with factory warranty. Take it to your dealer and explain the issue to them. Shouldn't cost a dime.

Stan, I didn’t see your post until after I did my update on the same problem. Read my no start update on this forum dated 5/10/19.
