Rattle in ceiling around sunroof

2017 Silverado LTZ is excellent other than an annoying rattle coming from the ceiling above the headliner.  When I hit bumps, even slight ones, it makes a very clear clicking/rattling sound.  I can make it happen just by taping the ceiling around the rear dome light.  When I'm driving and it's rattling I just have to reach back and lightly place my finger on the dome light and it stops.  Before I start pulling things apart I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and if there's a common solution.  It's under warranty but I've never had luck with the dealership finding rattles so I'd see what knowledge there is out there first.  Thanks!

Had the same thing in mine, drove me crazy. Turned out to be there is a plug, on the passenger side near the visor. factory is supposed to tape the plastic hard connection. Well they miss the mark. It rattles against the metal roof when hitting a bump. It was my issue anyway. I wanted to burn the truck when I first purchased. Good luck. If I remember correctly mine was the plug for the vanity mirror passenger side. Just had to pull the visor mount.

Thanks for the feedback Badge.  Yep, it's amazing how all I can hear is that rattle right now!  I'll take a look at what you mentioned.  I think mine's from a different area but I know how these sounds can be hard to track.

I had a squeak and rattle that was from an improperly seated sunroof drain tube. Dealership fixed it but was a nightmare to diagnose. 70 hrs of labor including removing the windshield and headliner finally have the issue fixed. 2018 slt premium. Plus 6.2 z71 crew cab black
