parking brake hardware 2014 sierra

Hey guys,

 

Im replacing the parking brake shoes and honestly this is the first time ive done it. when i took the rotors off the parking brake pads basically where not still attached to the backing plate. The little pins where gone. So my question is i am not sure how the little pins and clips with the springs are mounted. and was wondering if anyone had a picture?

 

i know the pin goes through the backing plate but where does the spring go?

Can you pull the other side apart to see what that looks like?

 

On any of the drum brakes I've worked on in the past the silver "cups" go ontop of the spring and the spring gets compressed down and the pin comes through the back. The cup is turned 90 degrees to lock the pin in place.

that's what i figured, unfortunately the other side is in the same state of repair lol.

the pin goes threw the backing plate and threw the the arm and then the spring and retaining clip
