Lower control arm ball joint help

Can the lower ball joint on a 2016 Silverado crewcab 4wd z71 off road package stamped steel be replaced without changing the entire arm? If anyone has done this can you give me info on the replacement ball joint. Thanks

I have not do it but don't see why not. Hydraulic press with the right dies.

Not sure if you would be able to source a replacement ball joint since it is serviced with the entire lower arm. 2nd thing being is the cost to pay someone's labor to do this would probably be a wash, not to mention you're also getting new bushings at the frame side as well.

Really is a wash. Even moreso if the truck is a 4x4 as the cv axle still has to come out along with the strut assembly. And the price you pay gor a complete control arm with new bj and bushings isnt that much more on rockauto.

Part is 300$ if i can find a ball joint that will fit. I will be doing it myself.

I have off road package this is where the whole issue lies. Stamped steel with off road package. Its a lil confusing with all the different arms and joints out there.

Ok do yours look like the two in the middle? Just tryin to help as ive been in your shoes tho mine are the first style lcas.

That does look like it but i dint have chrome tow hooks if that matters or not.

Well thats the cheapest ive found on a solid seller and well known brand. I get where your coming from that does add up. I'll say this though. Given the issues with the upper lcas snapping at the bj id go aftermaket lcas or ucas. Seems to be the weekest link besides the bjs themselves.

Yeah I had one fail already on uca. Truck has 6in lift and shouldnt have came with stock ca's but thats my fault not knowing .

That pic shows a 2015? I cant find those under 2016. Are they the same?
