Turning Off Backup Camera

Hello, 

 

At night when putting away the trailer, the light from the back up camera is too bright. to the point that i can use my mirrors.

 

Is there anyway to go back to the home screen while backing up? or to turn down the brightness of just the camera. I have tried pressing every button that has to do with infotainment , and it will not back out. i have turn down the brightness of my console but doesn't effect the camera.

It is extremely annoying and downright dangerous at times how bright it is.  So far no fix I am aware of.

Its a known issue. There was a software update to fix it on 17-18 models. See this thread.

Any luck on finding a fix for this?  I too deal with this every morning backing out.  I've always used my mirrors to back out of my driveway and now this thing is blinding.

So for all concerned, just wanted to tell you to take your vehicle to your dealership as they can dim the light on the screen
