wipers quit working

2015 gmc sierra , when i turn on the wipers the left side will move up a quarter of an inch and then nothing. tried cycling the switch off and on and still nothing. any suggestions

Motor or linkage. If you can hear motor trying to do something then probably linkage. You can get both a motor and linkage for about $100

just to update, the problem turned out to be the linkage to the passenger wiper had seized and cooked the motor. i first put the new motor in only to find it did the same thing. thats when i discovered the linkage problem. i cant believe a 2015 would have had this type of problem so soon. it is not my truck but it only has 70k on it and is daily driver
