Rear wheel bearing failure

Anyone had any issues with rear wheel bearings?  I have a 2018 Tahoe with 36K miles and a loud metal grinding noise from the passenger's side rear wheel.  Wife initially explained it as a squealing noise so I removed and blew out the calipers applied new grease to pins back of the pads and reinstalled.  Also wiped off rotors with brake cleaner, no issues or wear marks on rotors.  Drove the vehicle the following two days, couple hundred miles no issues or noise.  Then following day same noise according to her.  I then drove it and it is not a brake squeal.  It is a straight metal on metal grinding noise so I'm thinking wheel bearing.  Also when you turn left and the weight shifts off the pass rear tire a little bit noise goes away.  Turn right and put extra weight on the tire noise is much more pronounced.  Took it to the dealer who is questioning if I had brakes installed.  I understand you see grease on the stock pads and calipers but nothing was replaced.  Not sure why replacing brakes would have any effect on a wheel bearing anyway.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.
