Wheel house liners, rear factory installed

I just noticed that my rear wheel house liners are split down the center and overlapped. Is that really how thy are suppose to be??? They look cobbled up and  cheep for starters.

It's why I had my rear tubs Line-X' d.

@RSTJohn Are yours factory? Mine are aftermarket on a 2015 and are one piece.

Mine are factory and one piece... I think...will verify...but what is wrong with a two piece set up?

I took a closer look and they are from the factory and one piece but are cut at the bottom and top, over lapped and open enough that snow salt and ice could get in behind them.

Oh I think I know what you saying. My Dad has a 2015 silverado LT with the factory liners and you can see the frame cross-members.  The plugs will help make that look a little nicer.
