Lane Change off - DIC

All week two alerts keep appearing in the Driver Information Center when I start the truck.

1.Lane Change Off

2. Rear Cross Traffic Alert Off

I Checked my settings and both alerts were checked in the ON position.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'd be calling the dealer & making an appointment or asking them if there's a tech bulletin for those issues.

It sounds like the truck might think there is / was a trailer connected as those systems shut off when there is.

 

There is an update for the trailer control module. Might be the issue. Myself and hundreds of others were constantly getting those exact errors in cold weather and the update fixed that.

Problem solved, with help from On the Reel.

You cannot install a "Line of Fire" LED brake light strip using the trailer plug it comes equipped with.

When you plug the strip into the  trailer receptacle, the truck thinks you are pulling a trailer and it turns off the Lane Change &  Rear Cross traffic Alerts.
