Just bought some led hi/lo beams from hid power for my 2014 sierra 1500, the passenger side has gone out after 8 months and everybody knows what kinda pain in the butt that is. What are some other quality leds out there?

Installed JDM Astar hi/low, "fog", front turn signals, and rear tail lights on April 12th and 13th 2018 at about 77,000 miles and I now have 93k.  Came with a 1 year warranty and I think I've only exchanged 1 rear tail light bulb.  I did have quite a few problems with the 3rd brake light LEDs for some reason.  I think I'm on my 3rd set of those.  Warranty is pretty painless if needed, take pictures of bad bulb, email said pictures to JDM Astar with order number and they send you out a new one and may or may not give a return label for the faulty bulb.  Dealer had my truck for 3 months otherwise the mileage would be another 4-6k but I drive around with the running lights on all the time via fog light button so those have quite a bit of on time.  I did disable the DRL function since on mine the DRLs are the headlights.  If I was still on nights the headlights would have a ton more usage but I switch from nights to day in September of last year I think.  So for 6 months 90% of my driving was at night.  This is on my 2009 Sierra 3500HD.  Can't seem to find any fender markers for the rears that don't die, all of the LEDs for the rear fenders are too long compared to the filament bulb.

What LEDs did you get from JDM Astar for your Hi-low beams.

Did they increase light output?

I have JDM Astar LED interior lights. Best light output of the few I tried.

I guess I should have typed that differently, my High and low beams are 2 different bulbs.  Wow the price jumped in a year and a half, paid $99 and $109 before discount.   High https://jdmastar.com/product/317/8TH-Gen-9005-LED-Headlight-Conversion-Kits-Set-of-2.html  and low https://jdmastar.com/product/289/8TH-Gen-H11-LED-Headlight-Conversion-Kits-Set-of-2.html  You can try promo code LASTHUMANSGARAGE and see if that works still.  I got the low beams with the decoder, tried low beams w/o it and they worked fine in a quick test, installed decoder box anyway just in case.  Then I pulled the DRL fuses anyway so I guess I could have saved another $10ish.  I changed out my interior lights (not JDM) back in 2016 and haven't had any problems with them.  They were cheap too, only 9.99.  Customer support was quick to send me the right vanity bulbs too after I informed them their kit had the wrong ones.

 

Yes I noticed a light increase as well as the light being cleaner vs yellow.  I tried getting the brighter "old school" bulbs but they burned out way too quick.  If bulb changes were as easy as they were on my 2006 2500HD silvy then I wouldn't have minded as much but swapping bulbs went from 5 minutes on my 06 to 20-40+ minutes on the '09.  My buddy and I did also make sure the hot spots were the same as factory.  I'm sure there's light bleed and everything else that people constantly bring up when switching to LEDs.  I don't get flashed so either people are used to it or it's not as bad as everyone is claiming.  I will say high beams seem to scatter everywhere so I'm not sure they're optimal.  Would be better if they were a bit more focused.

Back in February, I installed these LED bulbs in place of the factory halogen bulbs in my 2014 GMC Sierra Denali. Massive improvement in light output. No problems with them. Probably the best single mod I’ve made to the truck as the OEM lighting was horrible.

I've had tremendous luck with my SNGL LEDs in my Malibu and my Peterbilt. Others on the Malibu forum are really liking the Supernova V4 LED bulbs.

I had a 14. Personally I think you should look into a quality HID kit or do the upgrade to the 16-18 Denali lights.
