Slight rough idle 5.3 dfm

Just picked up my truck yesterday Z71  crew cab LT with 5.3 / 8 speed has ~100 miles. It seems to have a very slight rough idle. I thought I read somewhere this is somewhat common with the 5.3 with Dynamic fuel management? I was considering mentioning to the dealer, there's definitely a perceptible slight vibration at warm idle.

Please advise,

S-LT.

I have noticed this as well.  Doesn't happen all of the time, but when it does you definitely feel it.  I'm not worried too much about it as it has yet to effect the get up and go!

My truck has a rough idle as well. Notable when I am stopped at a light for example. I feel it slightly under the seat. I took the truck in to service. The advisor stated he felt it turned on rough and idled rough. But the tech came back and stated some adjustments made to the ECM (No real specifics provided). And overall working as designed per the tech.

My truck has rough idle too. Formerly drove 2016 Ram 1500 and it was smooth at idle. Brought my 2019 RST to the dealer and they said it is performing as it should. They said the "rough idle" is normal engine behavior. I think they're probably right from a Chevy standpoint. It would be great if Chevy could compete with other manufacturers and produce a truck that idled smoothly. My advice is to think about that rough idle as it running as intended. After a while, I don't notice it as much. And to try to get it resolved with a dealer will be frustrating. Oh, also keep in mind you can open a ticket with GM's customer care - they're really good!

I have a service appointment scheduled which I think I'm going to postpone at least temporarily. I can actually see a little wiggle/ vibration in the engine, although slight. I have been turning the auto off feature, off. During break-in since it doesn't seem like a good idea to be starting and stopping the engine constantly. It doesn't seem to make much of a difference with the vibration/idle.

Thanks, SZ
