Turbo spool noise

2017 Duramax , So I don't hear the turbo spool like my other Diesels did ? Are they that insulated ?     I have Afe  filter and programmer ……….runs great .

Probably the Borg Warner VGT in the L5p being quieter than the outgoing Garret. I remember my '12 powerstroke turbo whine being nice and audible, but my '15 was almost silent because they went to a different turbo in '15.

Normal not to hear the L5P turbo.
