2019 Silverado 1500 Package Decisions

First time truck owner since age 16 and looking for opinions on package options for 2019. I have narrowed down what I would like to have but having a hard time locating something local with all the packages.

Looking at 2019 Silverado 4WD Crew Cab, Short Bed RST

All Star Edition

Z71 Off Road and Protection Package

Convenience Package w/Bucket Seats (Cloth)

Convenience Package II
Safety Package

Seems the safety package is hard to find unless you go up to LTZ or higher model. I have found 1 or 2 with the packages listed within 300 mile radius search in our color choices. Thoughts on not having this package? Seems like it would be worth it especially if the wife drives. Any thoughts on the leather package as well.

You are describing my truck but I ordered the “standard bed” with the Dark Atmosphere interior and 20” Argent Wheels. I love it!

I have same set up except mine is double cab with 6ft. bed. I agree hard to find RST with safety package. I really like the warning light in the mirrors when something is in your blind spot. I think Im in the minority though otherwise it wouldn't be so hard to find. I had to travel 200 mi. to find the options I was looking for. Could of ordered it but then the dealer isn't as motivated to deal.

I have that exact truck, only with leather buckets and WITHOUT Safety.

I'm glad I didn't get the Safety package, TBH. I like having the convex mirror in the upper corner of my driver's side mirror a lot more than the blind spot monitoring light. A LOT more. Being able to actually see MORE out of my mirror is a helluva lot better than just knowing something is driving in my blind spot.

I live in DFW, so I'm parking my RST in tight spaces all the time. I haven't missed the parking sensors one time. The truck is very easy to feel as you park in tight spaces.

Only thing in Safety package I thought I might want/need is the rear crossing alert. But the HD back up camera is so crisp and wide-angled that I definitely do not miss anything crossing behind me.
