All, I have a 2006 Silverado with a 4.8 that sounds like 5 prisoners trying to hammer out of prison. I also have a 90,000 mile 5.3 in a 2000 Silverado. 2000 has broken frame... how hard (if possible) would it be to put the 5.3 into the 2006??

It should literally just bolt and plug right in.  I used an 01 motor in my 06.  I think I had to swap the oil pressure sensor. You will want a tune, but it will likely run and drive without it.
