I’m trying to figure out what is leaking oil on my truck .It seems to be coming from the intake gasket or possibly oil pan.what can I do to find the problem where the leak is... I only have 215,000 miles on 08 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L...

The only way to try and figure that out is to deep clean the whole underside of the engine.

Buy a can or two of good engine degreaser and a few cans a brake cleaner. Go to town and hose it off really well. Don't do this on your driveway if you care about it because it's going to leave oil stains. Use the street lol or maybe you live on or have gravel on your property.

Drive it a day or two and check back for leaks. The most common are the rear main seal, rear cover gasket, crank sensor o-rings or possibly something higher up on the back of the engine where the valley cover and oil pressure sensor are.

They also make a uv dye that you could use after cleaning to make the leak more apparent with a black light.  It's a tiny bottle that you could pour into the oil

As said above, a good ol' deep cleaning and run it and watch for oil.

My 08 had a pan gasket leak at 150k that looked that same, you can bet after 10+ years then rubber gaskets start to break down.
