Yukon Forward Camera not working

The forward Camera is malfunctioning on my 2017 Yukon SLT. It is 22 months old (Purchased Dec 2018). There are 44k in miles and the repair is over $800. What is the expected life of this camera?  GM is not willing to support the repair financially. So my $68k vehicle needs this repair. I am certainly disappointed in the quality of the product

That's the risk you take when you buy a used vehicle that past the warranty period.  Why should they have to support it when it's past the agreed warranty time?  I've never gotten that.
