Brake Controller Wiring

I have a 99 Silverado LT and I am needing to add a brake controller to it. I don't have the factory installed towing package but I do have the convenience center, I need to add a 7 way round plug, can anyone help me identify which wires I need to hook up and where they are located? The instruction with my brake controller mentioned a power wire and brake control wire that were loose under the vacuum assist, I think I found them under the fuse box in the engine compartment. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance
