My 2019 Chevy Z71 Silverado rear brakes drag after the vehicle sits idle for a few days. I took it to the local dealership, they were able to replicate the issue. They sanded the pads and rotors and installed new pins and bolts into the callipers as well and returned the vehicle to me.  I drove it two days later and the rear brakes were dragging again. I returned the vehicle to the dealership and they did replicate the issue I was describing again. They said they needed to install new pads and rotors, but I'm awaiting parts. I have yet to get the issue resolved. The dealership seams not willing to try to fix the issue. Has anyone had this issue with this 2019 Silverado Z71.

Seems to me they are trying to resolve the issue, twice now. It is possible they can replicate it but not understand exactly what is causing it so they are trying in steps to fix it. Replacing the parts they suggest is a good first step, no?

They ordered you new brakes.  Sounds to me like they are attempting to address your issue.

Your 2019, is it the new body style or an old body style?  Old body is the same style as a 2018.

All depends upon how old pads are worn, measure and if uneven thickness front to back could be bad caliper guide pins, a sticking caliper piston, sticking parking brake shoe (I believe the '19s use multiple pistons/caliper), remote chance it could even be a sticking valve in the brake proportioning valve.

.02  If pads are worn evenly, problem is not the pads and they are wasting time.......installing new pads alone won't solve the problem.

My 2022 is doing the same thing. It seems & sounds like the parking brake isn’t releasing all the way or brakes are adjusted tight . Idk  but Chevy is about to lose me …again. We’ve been driving Fords for past 10 years with no issues & tons of miles. I buy this Chevy & issue after issue. Disappointed for sure.

Did you bring it into a dealership? The brakes should be under warranty.

Anyone find the fix for this? Changed rear pads with aftermarket. both rear brakes keep adjusting tightly to the rotors. I’ve been on the phone with one of the dealers trying to talk through it going on for a few weeks now. I swapped the pads to oem from aftermarket and that fixed it for a couple days. Now it’s back doing it again.
