2500 HD Mirrors on 1500?

Want to put a set of the bigger extendable 2500 HD side mirrors on my 2017 1500 Silverado LTZ, has anyone done this? Will they work with factory wiring? I see a guy near me on occasion who has them on his truck so I know it can be done but want to know the logistics first.

Two options I can summarize on here, but yes plenty to read from the threads linked.

 

On LTZ you have two options.  Option one is the GM mirror kits but you lose power fold.  This is the cheaper route however.  The kits retail $625 (black) or $725 (chrome).

 

Option two is you buy the DQS mirrors that would come on an LTZ.  Much more $$$ but you get power fold and I think memory as well.  About $730 retail per mirror.  You can also get these in chrome cap (LTZ and High Country style) or black cap (midnight LTZ).

 

Either route taken, you have to replace the front door harnesses.  About $100 per harness retail.

I have helped thousands of community members here with this upgrade.  This upgrade is PnP if you follow my upgrade path.  

 

Since you have  2017 LTZ Truck, you likely have Power Fold DL3 Mirrors.  So your upgrade path is DL3 - DQS.  I can supply you with all you need for this upgrade (including mirrors if you need a source for them).  I have partnered with a GM Parts Supplier to get mirrors you need.
