2017 Silverado crew cab front transfer case won’t disengage

Used  my automatic 4 wheel and 4 Hi while driving thru drifting snow and ice on Veteran’s Day  for about 50 miles. I then shifted the transfer case into 2 wheel drive. By all indications at a the selector switch and on the info center readout it was in 2 wheel. I drove for about week I could feel

that the front was still pulling. I pulled into a drug store drive-up and put The transmission in to Park. When I put

the transmission back in to Drive I heard a Big Bang. When I drove away I could feel the

front end was no longer pulling. What gives??  Anyone else ever ever had this happen?  Also the mileage dropped

off.

Bring the truck back to the dealer to check out the transfer switch motor. Might have to be lubed or might be a bad motor, out of alignment. Some damage could have taken place.  Have it checked, before it happens again.
