Mirror caps

Found out today you can change out the mirror caps with out taking the mirrors apart, I watched the gut just pop the old ones off and put the new ones on in less than 5 minutes and yes this is on a 2019 RST

Hmm.. I would be anxious to see this... been wanting to add chrome to mine but not wanting to take the mirrors apart...

I found that it is very easy to pop them off and pop new ones on but if you don't take apart the mirror assembly the chances are very great you'll break the clips on the original mirror caps. I broke mine when taking them off to vinyl wrap. Ended up waiting a month and a half for the strike to end before I got new OEM caps.

Did not break any of the clips on the one that he took off very easy to take off

Look up my posts.  I did this and posted photos of the process.  There is a good you tube video on this but it is not exactly right.

They did this on my At4 on the dealership when they swapped the chrome caps to black ones. Small flathead screwdriver and bamm done in less than 5 minutes. I didn’t check if they broke the clips of the old ones but they didn’t care and neither did I. I got my black ones installed and all is good
