I've had problems with the rear passenger door sometimes staying locked even after pressing unlock... whether it was on the key fob, the button on the door handles, and even the unlock button inside the cab on the door. It doesn't always happen, but I've noticed it's usually after the truck has sat for about an hour or so. I checked my settings and it is set to unlock all doors when pressing the button. The latest incident, I couldn't even unlock the door at all.... even tried opening the door from inside and it stayed locked. I contacted the dealer and said they've never heard of this and that they hope they can get it to "act up" while it's there getting serviced. I told them it was random. It sounded like if I cant get it to do it then they wont be able to look into it??

This is not just an inconvenience but also a safety hazard since my daughter normally sits on that side of the truck.

This is a 2019 Trailboss LT

Anyone else had this happen?

Sounds like a door lock actuator.

Yup. My 16 had all 4 doors go out. not at the same time though. took about 30 minutes for them to change it out each time.

First post here- signed on due to looking for tips on this exact same issue. I just drove the truck home (2019 Sierra SLT) from the dealer yesterday, today was our 1st full day with it.

Issue on mine is the rear passenger door as well, I need to unlock repeatedly 3-4 times before the unlock pin will slide all the way up. It seems like the pin is getting stuck by a tight fit. Keyfob, door unlock button, etc all to the same effect. All other doors operate flawlessly.

Thinking back, I noticed this door not opening at the dealer yesterday, but thought I had just pressed the keyfob incorrectly and shrugged it off as it eventually opened.

Minor annoyance that I'll need to head back to have them fix an issue on a brand new vehicle. (On top of this, the check engine light came on today while driving too; haven't even put 50 miles on it yet...) Aside from these annoyances, truck is fantastic.

Same here. Rear drivers side door sometimes won’t unlock. I brought it to dealer and they said they couldn’t get it to fail so I’m out of luck again. I have to bring it back when it failed so they can remove the part and send back to GM. Less then a 1,000 miles on my 21 elevation. Very upsetting.
