Amp Research not working after battery replacement!

Hi guys, yesterday I had to replace both batteries in my 2015 Sierra 2500hd diesel. It was straight forward and easy, but after replacement  my Amp Research power running boards stopped functioning completely. I double checked the fuse was good, I double checked the ground was good. But still no operation.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Perhaps needing a reprogram?

Having the same issue in my girlfriends truck. 2017 Silverado rocky ridge. Battery died, so we had it replaced and now the amp research steps will not work. Ever find out what it was?

blown fuse.  replace the fuse.  its clear color fuse in the red compartment.  you should be able to see it when you pop the hood towards the battery on passenger side.

That happened to mine as well.  The fuse wasnt blown.  I just took the fuse out and put it back in and it fixed the problem.

Here you can find how to fix the steps by removing the fuse. In the comments there’s one posted by Sam C. :

“Everyone driving a GMC with this problem. I did the fuse thing, didn't work. Look through the internet. No
solution. What worked for me was to unplug the module beneath the steering wheel. I then opened all the doors on the truck. Then I turned it power on.
Didn't have to turn the engine over. Then plugged the module back in. Then closed all of the doors. And it worked.” Hope either solutions solves it for y’all.

I had this same problem with my 2013 Silverado after disconnecting the battery for another issue. I pulled the fuse, cycled ignition on then off. Replaced fuse, and steps started working again.

I took the fuse out and put it back in. It's the red fuseholder that goes to the positive + post. That's all it took
