6.2 Gearing at Low Speed

Does anyone else’s truck feel like it is in too high of a gear at low speed (15-30 mph)? it almost feels like the truck is lugging (surely it isn’t). Is this just part of the 10spd learning process ? The truck only has 1100 miles on it.

I kind of feel the exact opposite. When I first drove the 10 speed I was kind of blown away at how the truck always seems to have torque even when not running on all eight cylinders. With the stock exhaust you cant really tell that at light throttle inputs the engine is not running on eight cylinders. When I installed a aftermarket exhaust I then realized the dfm is droping cylinders a lot because you can hear it more and also feel more of the changes. If you haven't tried sport mode you could try that also. When in sport mode it holds gears a little longer.

Sounds like it is probably just me over thinking it  then. It for sure  feels different at low speed in sport mode.

I get that same feeling and hear a like heat riser knock (prob dated myself)?, plus when the DFM is kicking off and on I can feel it at all speeds..

You’re definitely over thinking it. Sit back, relax and enjoy that beautiful truck of yours.
