Anyone have this in their truck and if so, how does it sound? its only available with the bucket seats, so I was wondering if it was worth the extra $870.

Personally, I think it sounds like a$$. Rarely have I heard anything from Bose that sounds decent. This includes home, and auto.

Some people love it though, it's just a personal pref.

For under a grand, you can get aftermarket stuff that will blow Bose out of the water.

Just my .02

I too have never been a big fan of Bose...I know they are supposed to be great, but everyone's ears hear differently, and I think bose always has a tin can type sound.....JMHO :jester:

I'm happy with the sound of my Bose. I'm no audiophile by any means though. It's a lot better than the sound system that was in my '99 though.

I have it in my 03 Sierra and personally I am not a fan of Bose either, BUT for a stock radio it sounds pretty good. To really get its true sound you have to listen to it with a CD or hook an MP3 player up to it Then it sounds 100X better. If you are just listening to the radio it pretty much sounds the same as most systems. I personally would not go with it over a after market because I like the stock look and the integration of all the system components in the newer vehicles. There have been too many people having issues with getting after market radios to fully integrate in their new truck. You usually have to give up something like Onstar, Door chimes, Steering wheel controls...... etc. So if it is something you think you would want get it. It is just a pain in the butt to do it afterwards, at least at this time. By no means I am saying after market does not work it just can be a hassle depending on what options you have and what you want.

That is how I feel too, there are better sounding aftermarket ones out there but this one is all integrated and works OK for me. I wish it had the XM radio in it and IF (keyword here) I can do that with the GM parts (and for a lot less than the $900 or so that I hear it costs) I would add that. I wish it played MP3's too so am interested how you got yours to play them? I have a 2003 Sierra as well.

Thanks
