Anyone else had paint issues?  I have a  pacific blue sierra and the paint is bubbling in a small spot on the drivers door.  I sure hope this isn't a sign of things to come...

It is going in tomorrow,  warranty is going to cover it but it still makes me wonder about the future as I know gm had issues with the white paint peeling off in the late 80's early 90's

I had an issue with the paint in front of both rear tires on the box, blue paint also. I drove maybe 50 miles on gravel and had dozens of rock chips down to the primer. It also was fixed under warranty but am a little concerned about the paint in the future

I hope I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling about it.  They said the spot must have been a bit a dirt in the primer and that I just didn't notice it, but I have hand washed the truck since I bought it and I am sure I would have seen it before.  Seems to have just appeared in the last month...

GM paint has been sh*t for a long time, I have many Express vans in my company fleet, 100+ (2008 - 2020 model years) and I'd say 60/70% have paint peel on the hoods and some over the windshield.

turns out (unfortunately) that my fears where right,  my door now looks like crap,  swirl and sanding marks all over.  They said they will make it right but....

Does anyone know the particulars about painting?

The spot I had was quite small and on the "A pillar" part of the drivers door about even with the top of the mirror, so my question is why do they need to re-clear the entire door?  I was told they only repainted the area around the spot, but had to reclear the whole door and then buff it.  I'm no expert but that seems like a total waste of time and effort not to mention how terrible it looks?

Rock chips in paint is covered by warranty?

They warrantied it because they said the bed wasn't straight and it would catch rocks more than normal.  It also had less than 500 total miles with less then 50 on gravel and looked like it had been sandblasted on the bottom foot of the both sides of the box in front of the tires. They said must be bad paint or more than likely thin clear coat as that should never happen, especially with so few miles.

I have a Cajun Red Tintcoat RST and it seems as if the paint is very "thin" or something. I have many rock chips along the front bumper and hood, some down on the sides of the rocker panels. Also, had a scratch on the passenger door when I bought it, didnt notice it til after my first wash. Tried polishing it out and it didnt come out, but now has major swirls/fine scratches where I polished it. I'm a little worried to even try a full paint correction so I can Ceramic Coat the truck.

Oh also, does anyone else have an issue with water spots hardening horrifically fast on the paint?
