Theft prevention system malfunction

My truck recently started having a problem where my theft detergent system would flicker on right at the start of my truck and won’t let me turn the engine over. It locks my whole drivetrain system. anyone know the issue or know the fix?

Its common with ground issues or battery. How old is your battery? They only last about 3 years. You may need a new battery.

Check your battery to chassis ground cables. There is also a thread on fixing a pinched ground connection under the front left dash speaker area. Insulation between the metal and the bolt causes insufficient grounding.

Battery is about 5 years old, I don’t think I’ve ever replaced it on this truck. Yeah it was just weird, is this common??
