Any experience with GM "Backorder"?

Going to be kidding when I say this, but light it on fire (somewhere safe, out in the woods) and collect the insurance money and buy yourself a GM truck.

Same fuel pump issue. Brand new 2020 Trail Boss. Had it for 1 week and now it sits in the dealership waiting for an "undetermined" amount of time with the fuel pump in backorder. Frustrating AF. Dealership is no help.

I bought my 2015 silverado 1500 and 3 months later a lifter went (of course.) My truck has been in since January 27 and they have no idea when these lifters will come in...

I bought a brand new 2020 Chevy Silverado and drove it for 6 days and the master cylinder went out on it. They said part is on back order. They will have had my truck a month tomorrow and still no part. What the hell is going on? Not happy with GM at all

i just received an email that stated my new parts from GM were shipped Friday. Three months not too bad I guess understanding that things a little weird right now. I ordered these parts in late February.

I imagine that based on everyone's experience, the average wait time would be 1-3 months for back ordered parts.

Have a low pressure fuel pump and need a new one but is on Natl Backorder.  Brought it in july 14 and still waiting (sept 20). been 9 weeks
