I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500. I need to know what are the characteristics of either a bad window motor or the regulator or both. Will someone please help!

Grinding/scraping/clicking noise in the door itself.
Window jumps track.
Motor drags n won't raise the glass all the way.

Fixes...
1st grease the rollers in the track check for a smell from the motor
While rolling it up n down.

Still a bit unclear whether just the motor and/or the regulator. Windows firmly in position. No squeaks; scrapes or anything like that... just the regular noise of the window going up (same noise as when it was new with one caveat that the struggling/slowness of the windows is audible and visibly present when going up). The noise/slowness is present going down as well but no where as much when the windows are going up.

Take the door apart.

Lube all moving parts.

If it has a problem moving, motor.

Process of elimination.
