Headlight replacement

I have a 2016 Silverado 1500 that needs a left front headlight assembly. My issue is that the original headlight assembly has the chrome housing, halogen headlight bulb, the turn signal is an incandescent bulb with amber lens and it has led accent lights (DRL & amber side marker) but I can’t get one from GM.  I’ve been down the RPO T4F, T4L and wiring diagrams path but no help there.  The car harness is a eight wire connector and the OE assembly has a five pin receptacle configuration, the HID a six pin and the LED a seven pin.  My Chevy parts guy is at a loss.  We either get a HID bulb or a LED bulb headlight assembly.  Has anyone out there run across this problem?  All I can find online is an Anzo aftermarket replacement for non LED headlight w/o HID headlight but I prefer the OEM look over their design. Any input welcome.

I was under the impression that the 2016 all got an LED headlight bulb upgrade, and only the 2014 and 2015 trucks could be had with a traditional halogen bulb, maybe in the WT trim trucks they kept halogen in 2016? My 2014 WT is chrome halogen, incandescent drl's, no accent lights. I have never heard of your particular set up and having a bit of a hard time visualizing it. If GM doesn't have a part number, you could be missing something. Wrong MY perhaps, 2500 series truck etc?

Does your headlights look like these? If so then you have HIDs in the projectors. LTZ/High Country came with the upgraded LEDs.3d9109ad39381d0a04a8eb4debffd6ba.jpg

I was able to get GM involved and what a cluster GM created in 2016. Production date of truck 9/3/15 with a minimum of three part number changes to present.  Three different headlight assemblies were used. LED, HID and Halogen.   Bezels for assembly are either chrome or body color.  Plug configuration for the trucks eight pin wiring harness to assembly is seven, six or five pin depending on bulb type and I’m not plugging in a 1K light until I know.  Does not appear to be plug and play so BCM may have to be reprogrammed and I haven’t got an answer if it can even be done.  If they can’t come up with the correct light does that mean I have to put out 2K for two lights and pay to reprogram BCM if it can even be done. NOT!  I can’t find a used one anywhere on the internet but I have found one set of aftermarket headlights that will work w/o LED headlight and w/o HID.  Not the look I want but better than spending 2K+.  I’ll post any updates from GM.  Thanks to all that replied to my post.

    • BEAUTIFUL!! That a Cutlass F85? Or 442? My side-ID skills are lacking thanks to failing memory, lol. Love that color & year, too!   Yeah I was never big on entering my own stuff, but I always liked seeing what everyone had, the rare models, and what's been modified. That was always fun. These days I have barely enough time to do what needs to be done at home.    Oddly enough, here in MA there are more car shows than ever in history! You'd think up here it would be dead, but it's bigger than EVER!          Took the 940 for its maiden voyage with the carburetor. At first I couldn't get out of the yard! This originally had the "Bosch" system (our other 940 has Regina - single fuel pump in fuel tank, and space-age-looking ignition coil on driver's fender) - that has dual fuel pumps. One in the tank, and one under the center left of the vehicle. I had unplugged the external one thinking I wouldn't need it with the carburetor ... but the way I have the pressure regulator hooked up, 90% of the fuel volume is going back to the fuel tank, so cranked all the way down, the regulator is only supplying a hair above 3.5 PSI to the carb. Turns out the in-tank pump (15 PSI alone, instead of 45) couldn't handle the load. Plugged it back in and went for a rip. Ran great!   Throttle response is always amazing with carburetors. ZERO delay that no FI system can reproduce. Also fires up in half the crank rotations as before. Low end power was DRAMATICALLY improved. There was an ongoing lean issue with the FI that I got tired of figuring out, so this is a MASSIVE improvement! Above 50 MPH on hills it feels SUPER weak, though. This is more than likely due to the timing not being advanced enough by the computer, since it believes there are multiple failures. I can live with that through the winter. Will keep me from passing slowpokes where I shouldn't and getting speeding tickets at least. 😁
    • I like driver quality. I bought a 64 elcamino a few years ago. All original as it turned out. I didn’t know at the time. I made a low ball offer and got it. Black on black factory air 4 speed. It drove like a school bus. It had been awhile I had forgotten just how bad the old cars drove. So I planned on making it more of a retro ride. I would drive it to work sometimes. My brother liked to build cars, I liked to drive them race them. So he noticed the canister oil filter and open blow by tube. He checked the numbers. All original. 327, 250 hp close 4 speed, posi rear end. I put it on eBay made a tidy profit. I didn’t want the responsibility or headache. My wife already had a pristine collector vehicle. It lives in the climate controlled garage. I really don’t care what it is. I like to feel the sensation of speed. Let someone else have the responsibility. I’m too OCD. It used to drive me crazy. I can appreciate people who like to take the responsibility. I’m glad they do. I’ll look and remember back to those days. I’ll jump in the wife’s Genesis to get gas for her. Get my sensation of speed and be happy for awhile.

    • I’ve had plenty of nice cars but car shows have never really been my thing personally. I’d much rather be driving or wrenching. But over the years I’ve noticed they are dying out. This one has even been canceled in the past. Hate to see that happen so I brought my Olds out for the afternoon. If turnout was really bad I had the TRX on standby too but thankfully quite a few nice rigs showed up. Nice people too. I may be converted.
