Side mirror cap keeps popping out

Anyone had this happen on theirs? Is there an easy fix that avoids dealer visits? 
 

The chrome mirror cap keeps popping out on the outer side. I can pop it back in and push it together with the black plastic rim but it will slowly push back out after a few seconds. Super glue maybe?

Mine popped out when it rain and froze, so I assume it was a one time thing.  I pushed it back on and it seems to have held.  I will check though.  Maybe the clips broke on yours somehow?  Seems like a cheap piece of plastic, easily breakable.

Yea if your clips are not broken off I would just put a few dabs of krazy glue gel on the contact points put a couple small bungee cords around it for a couple hours and you should be good to go.

Mine broke over the window, chrome cap kept popping off on the exterior of the passenger side mirror. One of the interior clips had broken at some point. I used some super glue and a clamp. Glued it, clamped in place, and let it sit for an hour. Stays on perfectly now.

Mine popped off, took it to the dealer told them the issue, 2 weeks later i went back they popped the new one on. The best dealer experience i have had so far.
