Cap on front Bumper.

What is the cap on the drivers side front bumper for?  Is it a front tow hook cover?  Does the truck come with a front tow hook, or do I have to purchase one?

That is where the tow hooks go on 4WD trucks. Not the little circle, but the entire cutout. Fog light goes next to it. Same on the passenger side, just flipped.

My Silverado is 2wd so I don't have any hooks.  The area where hooks would go is empty and on the drivers side only is the round disc.  I am wondering what is it for?  A place to put another accessory or for a front tow hook to be installed?  When I say to have a have a tow hook installed I don't mean the two hooks that are on trucks up front.  I was told that to tow this vehicle it would be required to take off the cap and install by screwing on, a tow hook.

I get what you’re saying now. That hole is for the engine block heater, if equipped.

Not just for the 4wd. I have a 2wd that came with factory tow hooks.

Yes sir I did and used my black RST bowtie.  I like a chrome grille and think it gives it a good contrast with paint. I looked at the HC grilles but didn't like the bronze ends.
