Truck sliding backwards in park

Anyone else having issues with the truck sliding backward in park with the parking brake on?  I parked the other day in my driveway (slight incline), set the brake, shut the truck off, and when I opened the door, the truck rolled back almost a foot. Driveway was dry.

Wow. That seems bad. I have not experienced this. Has it happened more than once? I have an incline drive.

Were the wheels rolling or sliding?

Rear sliding, front rolling. It also happened today, but we had an inch of slushy snow. Slid down into my lawn. I had a tundra parked in the same area as my Chevy, for 4 years. Never happened before. Same thing, rear slide front rolling. Snow and ice I can understand I guess. But not dry asphalt.

That all depends on your tires, they are probably not well rated for your cold weather and are getting hard.  If you have 4wd, engage that when you park so that all 4 tires will lock with the transmission

Sequence? In addition to the gearing and tire condition mentioned above. Did you set the parking brake with foot on hydraulic brake while in Drive or Neutral? Even with parking brake fully applied there is slack until the shoes grab tight, plus slack in the transmission gearing until the parking pawl seats in Park detent, plus if shut off in Drive a forward torque on the driveshaft taking up all forward slack in the gearing..

Moving backwards a few inches can seem like a foot and even a foot may not be excessive depending upon the angle of the drive given the above. If concerned try different combos. I park on the inclined portion of my drive depending upon traffic. I first set the parking brake in Neutral and then let the vehicle fall back a few inches until the parking brake seats and tires grab.....and only then shift to Park and there should be no further fallback - then shut off the ignition.
