7 Pin Connector with 3 Pin Camper

Hi All.  I have a camper that just uses Ground, 12V, and Running Lights.  When I wire these into a 7 pin connection, it doesn't recognize it when plugged into the 7 pin outlet on the bumper.  I have tried adding as an accessory but it says "No trailer connected".  Anyone have any luck doing this?

You need a Putco harness. its a 4 pin connector but it doesnt connect to the trailer app so you can add what ever adapter you need.

Looks like if you hook this up to the 7 pin it thinks there is a trailer attached and gives me the functionality I want.  Not sure if it would screw something up in the long run, but it has built in resistors to make it seem like something is attached.

Be interesting to see if you can still set up trailer profiles while using that adapter or if it interfers in some way.

When I plugged it in the trailer screen popped up as seeing a trailer there and asking which trailer profile to use, so yes it seems to work that way.  Gonna take it for a ride and see if the cameras pops up on the turn signal activation.

Took the truck out today with the adapter plugged in.  It asked for a trailer profile and if you select one then the cameras activate on the turn signal.
