P252A after feeling transmission slip/hesitate

Pulling out of a parking lot onto a 45mph road I felt my transmission kind of slip a few times and then noticed that I had a CEL. Looked at the code and cleared it. This happened on Saturday and I cleared it yesterday. Has not come back. Just over 3k miles. Should I call the dealer and make them put this on record or try to get it in? Was clearing it a bad idea?

  Have a look at the Diode Dynamic C1R light. It installs in minutes with their wiring harness and is super bright when backing up.   Guys, thank you so much for the help! Dealer called back and is willing to participate $7,000 towards lifter and cam shaft replacement. Basically complete engine rebuild. Our cost will be 5k. These replacement parts will be covered by a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty.

  Doesnt take an engineer to read a dipstick. Otherwise the manufacturer would require dealership oil level checks. Not brain surgery either.

  Don’t get hung up over this. No disrespect intended. People have a different opinion of what constitutes using oil. I stated mine.
