Wheel well liners

I was looking at placing wheel well liners I the back and found that the GM ones are felt.  This made me question the longevity of them and what the constant moisture against the metal is going to do.  Was thinking of having the wheel wells covered with a spray in bed liner but the dealer said it may void the warranty.  Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.

Might void the warranty on the liners
They can't void ur engine warranty for messing with ur wheel wells
My 15 has them and I coated them with bed spray to make them easier to clean
Durability after 5 years they aren't falling apart but I did coat them so not sure
My 2020 I'm gonna remove them and get the inner wells coated and reinstall

My '15 had the same liners. I put 100k on that truck. They held up just fine to everything. Spraying them off with a pressure washer was no big deal and cleaned them up fine. The would probably stay cleaner easier if they were lined though. They are held in with plastic clips so I would say it might be a pain to reinstall them if the coating is too thick. Also, they need to be somewhat pliable to remove/reinstall if needed. As far as you're dealer, I get pretty sick of the dealer regurgitating that stupid line. If you line them, then try to get them replaced under warranty, then yeah, that won't work. But to act like it would void the warranty of anything else, other than the liners is ridiculous. The quality of dealership employees has really taken a dump in the last 5-10 years....
