Hello, folks.

 

We have been very successful with this simple DIY Mod for the LT1/LT4/LT5 6.2L V8 engine for Corvette, Camaro, Cadillac. If you have the L86/L87 6.2L V8 engine these Mods are right for you too.

 

We doubt there is a more profound change you can make to your Truck or SUV for as low as $350 (both mods) and in 30 minutes of DIY work.

Thanks for asking, Bash.

 

The throttle controllers work for all Gen 3 Silverado/Sierra/Suburban/Yukon engines.

 

We are working on the 5.3L TB's. These are engine/displacement specific.

See what the Corvette 7th Gen, Camaro 6th Gen, and Cadillac CTS-V 3rd Gen drivers are saying about our products on their 6.2L engines (LT1/LT4/LT5), simply use the web search term "Soler Throttle". 

 

The L86 and L87 engines will be as happy. Most importantly, you will be as happy or your money back (you don't even pay shipping), no grief.

 

No other modification transforms your car/truck so much for so little money and so easily. DIY and warranty safe.

@Mike@SolerPrf Hi Mike, can you elaborate on how this is effectively any different than modifying Driver Demand tables in the ECM calibration? Obviously calibration changes are not on the fly like this is, but I've been able to dramatically change the way my throttle responds by playing with Driver Demand in HP Tuners.

Absolutely, it is not much different, you can achieve the equivalent response to a single TC setting by changing the driver demand tables in the tune. Except perhaps, the tune can "brick" the ECM if attempting the highest levels of our TC, that's according to some tuners, not sure how high you can go with a tune.

 

Here are the main differences (mostly for other folks reading this thread, I believe you already know most of this):

 

Throttle Controller:

- Changes the information sent from the pedal to the ECM. This is a more basic level, untraceable for warranty purposes.

- 37 settings (levels of response) that can be changed on the go.

- Affordable, customizable, DIY for everyone.

 

Editing Driver Demand:

- Changes the information in the ECM. 

- One response level per tune.

- Perhaps a bit more expensive, and depends on tuner, or must have tuning software and tuning knowledge.

 

BTW, we have customers with driver demand tables edited for better response, that still find our throttle controller fun and useful under some driving conditions.

i got the sprint booster, but never use it anymore. it did cause a engine light code for a ground short of some kind , so i took it out. i prefer stock settings for the street but drive in 3rd or 4th gear on the street it feels good enough

    • Howdy folks,   Recently I pulled a heated steering wheel and clock spring out of a 2015 Sierra All Terrain (part numbers coming soon - will have to disassemble), and just installed it on my 2016 Sierra WT (as base model as it gets).   On install, I noticed that I’m missing the connector often tucked behind the dash for the heating element.     No problem… or so I thought.   I used an “Add-A-Fuse” at my heated steering wheel fuse location, which has voltage, but no wires. I ran it to the positive of the heated steering wheel (Violet/White), and took black to ground.   Hooked up the battery, turned the truck on - no heated steering wheel. No button backlights. Was pleased to see that my cruise control was working though.   Read a post suggesting reversing polarity, so I gave it a shot. Violet and White to ground, Black to power.    Aha! Heat! But I seemingly can’t turn it off AND still no backlights on any of the buttons.    Checked all fuses, everything is still in good order. I’m stumped.   Does anyone have any insight? If so, please share!
    • I'm about 1800 miles into my last oil change, and yesterday a message appeared saying oil life was at 77%. Not sure why it popped up but I think all of these electronics could be susceptible to solar flares or somesuch. I change my oil right at 3K each time, and that was the first time in 10870 miles that message came up. Strange thing is that it showed on the screen at all since I don't drive with that sort of info displayed on the DIC.

    • Checked the pads today and there's plenty of meat on them. If the message keeps coming up, I'll just answer YES that the pads were replaced and wait for the squeal.
    • Welcome to the Forum! Always post the code definitions along with the codes. there are over 18000 possible codes, no one remembers them all and most will skip over your post rather than look them up
