GMC SIERRA 2007-2013 S90 IN DASH BLUETOOTH AM/FM RADIO GPS

Just thought I'd start this thread in search of anyone that has installed an after market in dash radio/gps screen unit to replace the radio only unit.

I bought a 2012 GMC Sierra last year that didn't come with GPS option. Are there any reasonably priced after market unit with good reviews that compare to the factory units? Thoughts on if it's worth the money?

I'll throw out that I'm in Canada which may narrow down my options.

I installed a Pioneer Avic-5201nex in my 09 Denali, with a PAC audio module to keep wheel controls/satellite/ect. After 8 months I had issues with it and sent it to a repair center, then Pioneer finally replaced it. It may have been a one off issue, or may have been a common thing, I don't know. As long as you get a quality unit, it should be fine, and I think it was completely worth the money when it wasn't in the warranty center. Be aware though that behind the radio is the dash, so it's an extremely tight fit.

Thanks Area51...your unit seems to have a pretty good review over-all.

I was thinking of just getting the a TomTom or Garmin so I will see which direction I will go.

2013 SLE Z71 here.  I have the avh-w4500nex and love it.  Wireless Android auto, screen mirroring, loaded with functions and customizable background.

Kept all steering wheel control functionality (accept I think phone answer) because the talk button calls up a very useful Google assistant.
