Sunroof Shade Scraping

Recommended Posts

Just got my truck back from the dealer for the leaking rear window. Upon getting it home, I noticed when I slide the sunroof shade (part that looks like the headliner) towards the very end it seems to contact something in the headliner. By the looks of it, it’s the dome light.

I dropped the dome light and it looks like it’s hitting the clips that hold the dome light in, they have always been there but after the headliner was dropped in the rear for the window repair it’s now scraping.

Is there a shelf that the sun shade is supposed to rest on to keep it from hitting the clips? Trying to figure out how to resolve this without having to take to the dealer....again.

Thanks in advance!

Take it back to the dealer and let them fix it for free.

While that seems like the logical option, they aren’t competent and have damaged other interior parts in the process. If it’s something simple I’ll fix it myself.
