09 silverado headlight wiring

Thought my headlight had went out but actually I have a wire that has come all the way out of the back of the bulb housing . And it runs to what I'm guessing is a relay .my? Is .do I need to cut the wires on back side of relay and then wire the relay back up with a new bulb housing watever.may be a dumb question but I'd feel realy dumb if I screwed stuff up. High beam light . .
