Another new Daddy here

Just have to tell the world, I guess. I am a new father. Our first child was born on Halloween at 12:56 AM after 19 hours of labor and two solid hours of real work on Mom's part, my son came into this world, happy, healthy and strong. I once heard a quote "how is it possible to love someone so much that you just met?" and I find it perfectly applicable to our new addition. He comes home today, hopefully in time for him to sleep on his Daddy while they watch the WSU/USC game and root for the Cougs. What an absolutely incredible experience helping with a child's birth. My feet have not touched the ground since he was born. And yes, his first vehicle ride will be in the GMC, the car seat is already waiting for him. Awesome, simply awesome to be a father.

We brought him home tonight, he passed out from sensory overload on the ride home, apparently, after fumbling with the first time parent usage of a car seat, he is a big fan of James Taylor. I played a CD for him as he was fussing and fighting his restraints in the car seat, James Taylor knocked him out. Who would have known ole James Taylor had a knock out punch.

Sleeping like he should and eating like a linebacker.

Thanks for the kind words.

Ideeho, I'll understand completly if your post count drops a bit while you and the "new dude" get aquainted. Have fun, enjoy, and never forget.... Those are some words of wisdom I have learned on my own, and that need to be passed on!!!

Once again , Congratulations!!! :)

Well, after the first looooong night, he is happily crashed out. Apparently getting the little buggger to "latch on" is a task for first time Mom's, so the baby didn't get too much nourishment the first 24 hours...but NOW he's got the hang of it and he ate all night long, then Daddy gets up and has to play bad guy and change him, put new clothes on, all that stuff that ticks off a baby. I guess my boy prefers being naked and at the tap, those fuzzy outfits really tick him off right now.

Thanks again for the kind words, this is just so much more exciting and fantastic than I ever imagined. :)
