Navagation system

I wish to shut off onstar, will my navigation system still work? Will my phone still connect to my car?

I honestly didn't know you can actually turn off Onstar. I just don't subscribe. Shouldn't change anything that I'm aware of (although AcadiaForum.net group may be a better lot to check with to be sure). Even though not subscribed, Onstar still stays on in certain regards with my Acadia. It sends reports to me, to the dealer...

If you cancel your onstar account, your factory navigation will still work, if you have factory navigation. Your phone will also still connect to your Acadia without onstar activated. Depending on the year of your vehicle, it should have apple CarPlay or android auto. Both of these allow you to use the navigation of your choice, Waze, google maps, etc. for navigation. Your phone just needs plugged into the USB port in your center console under your temp controls.
