Removing Fog light trim

Yeah I know...and there are 0 information on how to remove them also. When I pull from the bottom the black plastic peice wants to come also but  just doesn't seem right.

Glad to see I’m not the only one who broke all the tabs. They are a pain in the butt to get off, I also wrapped them black, looks way better!

Here are mine paint matched.

They stay in good with about half the tabs broken.. still a good bit of work to get out.

When I do my custom headlights ill buy a new set and have them painted then throw these out. I'll need my bumper painted in about a year from now anyway.

I broke several tabs taking mine off as well... Tried wrapping them and failed. Ended up buying a used set and painting them to match my truck.

It’s actually 3 smaller lights, I had them so that’s what I did. Two are spots and one is flood. They’re all Whelen pioneer slimline’s.

Thanks.  Looks nice. Thinking of going the same route. Is it a 3m Adhesive?  How do u feel about the fitment?

It won't beat the factory fitment, plus if you have a front camera you will have to cut out a space for it in the overlay. I would say it looks nice from 3 feet, but you can see a small amount of black chrome under it if you look too close. It is 3M adhesive that holds it on, so it should be removeable.

What’d you paint it with? I’m planning on doing the same and going to paint some fender flares as well...

I bought color match rattle can paint and 4k clear coat.

I’m looking to paint the grille and fog light bezels. 
 

How did you get the paint to stick?

 

My painter said the paint won’t stick to the chrome?

 

I’m considering the after market black grille overlay and just vinyl wrapping the fog light bezels.
