Blacked out Z71 logo but keep red

Sorry forgot to add that part. Also, they do different variations of it. You can leave the “71” intact and get the inside in different colors and also get the “Z” inside a different color instead of red. Found the guy on Instagram and verified that they are the same size as stock and has the adhesive backing ready to install. So glad I found this before doing another trial on painting mine.

They have it if you’re talking about the “AT4” font version. Yeah I’m surprised this vendor hasn’t been discussed on the this forum before unless I missed it.

Didn’t see it on first pass.

Just wanted to let everyone know that these are custom cut badges. Thick colored plastic similar to plexiglass that is laser cut. Although they are not exact replicas of the OEM with the contours, these are still pretty good quality. I’ll be installing them this weekend.

I picked up a roll of carbon fiber vinyl to wrap the woodgrain on the door panels and console.

Then decided to black out the Z71 fender & grill emblems too....was just too much chrome up there.

carefully cut them out with an xacto knife with a fresh blade to inlay the 7 and 1 leaving the chrome border....then lightly hit them with a heat gun to set it. 

Did the grill emblem also, talk about tiny.

 

Been on almost 3weeks now, no peeling so far.

 

I'll try to grab a pic and add it if ever have time when the sun is out.

I think you will have to message him on Instagram. I haven’t installed mine yet and wished that these had more contours that replicate the OEM ones. I might hold off and plastidip them to see if I can peel off the red parts first.

I agree. Love the styling of the set, but was definitely waiting to see your install after you shared the lack of contour.  I’m really hesitant to plasti-dip, mostly lack of knowledge. Videos look easy, just question the longevity.  Appreciate you keeping us up to date.

Plastidipped the whole thing. Didn’t want the red. No more chrome accents on the truck!

Decided to take the easy route. Replicas produced in matte black so no paint required and already has adhesive on the back. I plastidipped it but I just hate the texture and how you can smoothly wipe it with a microfiber towel without it getting stuck to it. eBay for only $37 shipped for both.
