2013 Transmission service

Suburban..  I know.. not a Silverado.

My 2003 had a tranny pan drain plug.

My 2013 does not.   Do they make a  pan with a drain plug ?      OEM, aftermaket ??

They do but they cost an arm and a leg.

 

Cheaper to weld a bung into the pan than it is to buy a pan with a drain bolt. Or buy a mighty vac fluid evactuator to just suck the fluid out.

Where is the best place for clearance to add a bung ?

Anywhere the filter isn't. Most pick a corner away from the filter.

I added a drain plug to my 2016 Suburban. Got it from Summit racing.
